FAQ
Is Mako really vanilla?
By default, yes. With the default settings, the game plays the same as plain Minecraft. Anything that changes gameplay is off by default. We check every optimization against normal behavior.
Will my plugins work?
Mako is based on Folia, so plugins need Folia support today. Support for Paper plugins that are not Folia-ready is on the roadmap.
What happens if my license stops?
Your server keeps running. A license gives you updates and support. It never stops or breaks a running server.
Do I get the source code?
Yes. Mako is GPL-3.0, like Paper and Folia. Buyers can request the full source.
What hardware were the benchmarks on?
Benchmark results are coming soon. Your numbers depend on your hardware, plugins and players.
I run a hosting company. Can I test Mako?
Yes. If you want to run your own benchmarks on your hardware, get in touch.
